Flashback 2008 – Trophies and Medals

In 2007 we began awarding trophies for the 2-mile and 6-mile races with a design based on the “running guy” image. (The trophies and medals shown are from the 2008 races.)

The trophies were designed and built by a family friend by bending and welding pieces of steel, and painted by hand. They were great-looking trophies, but were also a lot of work for our friend. We continue to use a variation of that design, but the trophies are now laser-cut from sheet metal and powder-coated.

Flashback 2007 – T-shirt logo

Our t-shirt logo in 2007 had a southwestern feel to it. The “running guy” image was based on a piece Microsoft Office clip-art. That runner — along with the smaller graphics and font style — made for a popular design.

A variation of the runner guy is still in use today in some of our designs.
